The Guitar in Popular Music conference will be co-hosted by Canterbury Christ Church University and the Academy of Contemporary Music, in collaboration with the International Guitar Research Centre (University of Surrey).

We are delighted that Professor Steve Waksman (Leverhulme International Professor of Popular Music at the University of Huddersfield) will be presenting the keynote lecture on Friday 11 July at Canterbury Christ Church University: ‘Everything Louder Than Everything Else: Amplification and the Aesthetics of Volume'
