Edwardian Musical Comedy

Thursday 8 & Friday 9 May, 7.30 - 8.30pm, Anselm Studio 1, free

Edwardian Musical Comedy is the forerunner to early musical theatre of the 20th century and played a hugely significant early role in shaping the formula of musical theatre as we know it today.

This showcase is part of a research project which endeavours to unveil some lesser-known works from a short and creative, but now somewhat forgotten, theatrical period. New vocal arrangements based on archive shows have been reimagined for contemporary musical theatre singers and audiences. This is a great chance to hear something new through the rediscovery and reimagination of something old.
