We are pleased to welcome Professor Hakim Adi to discuss his newest publication, African and Caribbean People in Britain (Penguin, 2022), an illustrated summary of the 2000+ years of history of African and Caribbean people in Britain. This book shows that from the very beginning, from the moment humans first stood on this rainy isle, there have been African and Caribbean men and women set at Britain's heart. Professor Adi will discuss the process of researching and writing this book and share excerpts with the audience.

There will be an opportunity to purchase the book from the CCCU bookshop at the event. Light refreshments will be provided from 5pm.
