How to Become a Good Sleeper and Why it Matters

A talk from Drs Maja and Zoe Schaedel at the new Salomons Institute for Applied Psychology in the centre of Tunbridge Wells

Dr Maja Schaedel is a Clinical Psychologist with a specialism in sleep difficulties. She is also the joint Lead of the Psychological Therapies department for the Queen Victoria Hospital NHS Trust in East Sussex and leads the psychology team for the Sleep Disorders Centre at QVH.

Dr Zoe Schaedel is an experienced GP Partner and clinical leader with expertise in mental health and sleep difficulties and has trained alongside some of the UK's foremost sleep clinicians and is a member of the British Sleep Society.

Together they founded The Good Sleep Clinic, an organisation offering medical and psychological expertise to people with Insomnia and other Sleep Difficulties. Recognising that it can often be difficult for people to access evidence-based treatment and support to improve their sleep led Zoe and Maja to combine their medical and psychological expertise on insomnia, to help more people achieve good quality sleep along with improved health and wellbeing.

One of a series of public talks at the new Salomons Institute in the centre of Tunbridge Wells. These talks are designed to appeal to the local community and aim to be affordable, interesting and accessible to all.
