INCISE seminar - Ethnographic Orthodoxies: Queer Feminist Research Ethics in a Neoliberal Age – Professor Melissa Wilcox (University of California Riverside)

In this public lecture, Holstein Chair, Professor Melissa M. Wilcox, (UCR) will talk about navigating ethical and methodological dilemmas in ethnographic research. Melissa will discuss examples from a project on the Orthodox Calendar, an annual publication of erotic male art photography for the global gay market delineating a gay space, and raising awareness about homophobia, in Orthodox Christian contexts. The talks addresses praxis and challenges of queer feminist ethnography.
