Domestic Abuse – Traditional Assumptions and Modern Realities Roundtable


The Canterbury Centre for Policing Research (CCPR) at Canterbury Christ Church University is hosting a roundtable for students, professionals, academics and the general public. This event will include three presentations from a victim, policing and psychological perspectives to discuss ‘modern realities’ of domestic abuse. The audience will also have an opportunity to discuss their views on domestic abuse and how we, as professionals and members of the public, can continue to improve the way victims are supported.


The Focus of this event will be:
• To discuss reaching and supporting different populations in addressing domestic abuse
• To understand the investigation of domestic abuse from a policing perspective
• To explore the relationship between domestic abuse and intimate partner stalking
