Our superb quartet in residence presents a stunning programme of two classics by Haydn and Schubert and an English masterpiece by Vaughan Williams. Vaughan Williams’ String Quartet No.1 enchants with a fascinating and exciting mix of the influences of English folk music and the 'French polish' he gained from his studies with the great Maurice Ravel.
